Game Club is the perfect way for students to build strategy, practice teamwork, and learn new skills while having a blast. Each week, they’ll explore everything from quick card games to longer strategy favorites, guided by Ms. Krista Joy’s extensive collection—from classics like Cribbage and Uno to modern hits like Dominion, Dixit, Fluxx, and Star Wars Unlimited. A great way to beat the winter blues and broaden their game horizons!

Homeschool Choir: One World, Many Songs Come sing your way around the world! In this active and engaging class, students will explore songs from different cultures and traditions—learning rhythms, melodies, and lyrics from across the globe. Each class will blend fun, energetic songs that younger singers love with more complex styles that challenge and inspire older students. Together, we’ll build confidence, strengthen musical skills, and celebrate the beauty of diverse cultures through music. No prior experience needed—just bring you!
FRONTIER SKILLS

Learners step back in time and discover the essential skills that helped pioneers thrive in early America. Students will be immersed in primitive shelter building, fire building, tracking, rope making, candle-making, and primitive cooking techniques. Through interactive demonstrations and guided practice, participants will develop problem-solving abilities, self-reliance, and an appreciation for historical pioneer ingenuity while building confidence in their own capabilities.
VIKINGS

Unleash your inner warrior and step into the world of the Vikings! This 16-week program immerses students in the history, culture, and legendary tales of the Norse people while challenging them to train like true Viking warriors. Each week combines hands-on warrior training—mastering shields, axes, spears, and traditional battle formations—with fascinating lessons on Viking history, daily life, trades, navigation, and mythology. Students will test their strength and cleverness in games and challenges inspired by Viking traditions, learn ancient skills like sunstone navigation, and explore the epic sagas of Norse legends. The program culminates in a Viking Warrior Challenge and Viking Feast, where students celebrate their journey with games, food, and warrior oaths, honoring the spirit of the old ways.
COOKING AROUND THE WORLD

Each week in Cooking Around the World, students will express themselves in the kitchen while learning about the many ways that global cultures explore and enjoy cooking. We will begin with basic kitchen skills such as knife or kitchen tool skills, utilizing measuring cups, reading recipes, and the basics of food science. By the end of the class, students will know how to perfect appetizers from Italy, deserts from Thailand, main entrees from Mexico, and everything in between! Students will put their senses to the test through trying out different seasonings, blending flavors and experimenting with various properties of baking. Experiencing this variety of flavors, textures, and techniques will have your student wondering what else is possible in the realm of food production. In this class we will collaborate and grow together, as older students not only learn how to execute a recipe, but also how to teach and guide younger students along with them through the process. Everyone with a curiosity or passion for culinary crafts has a place here in Cooking Around the World! *Please note: We will use organic or non-GMO ingredients as much as possible, and avoid the use of food dyes. We will accommodate allergies that are specified during enrollment.
STEM: LEGO SPIKE

Join the mission to explore robotics and innovation! Students will use LEGO SPIKE Prime to complete a series of creative engineering missions. We’ll learn coding fundamentals, mechanical design, and problem-solving strategies as we build robots to tackle fun, real-world inspired tasks. *Please note: Students will be using tablets to program their projects
THE SKETCHBOOK PROJECT

If your child loves drawing faces or characters, this class will help them turn those sketches into expressive works of art. Students will explore the art of drawing faces and figures — from simple cartoons to realistic portraits. Each week focuses on a new challenge — learning to capture emotion, proportion, and personality through practice and play. Students will explore projects like the Emotion Grid (mini portraits showing different expressions), Facial Symmetry Drawing, Mood Portraits (exploring light and shadow by drawing a face lit from one side), and Facial Feature Weeks, where we focus on eyes, hair, noses, and ears. We’ll mix in both realistic and cartoon styles, character design, and fun warm-up sketches that help students loosen up and build skill week by week. As the semester unfolds, students will build their sketchbooks page by page — creating a visual record of their progress and creativity while learning to see and draw with confidence and imagination.
THE WILD STUDIO

Welcome to Wild Studio — a hands-on art adventure that celebrates nature from snowy days to spring blooms! In this creative class, students will paint, build, and create through the changing seasons. We’ll make projects like seed paper to plant in the spring, build birdhouses and terrariums, and experiment with seasonal works such as snowflake prints and an expressive My Wild World collage. As the weather warms, we’ll take our creativity outdoors with spring projects — like painting pottery and planting seeds to bring home and grow. As the semester unfolds, students will build a collection of nature-inspired projects that reflect creativity, curiosity, and a love for the wild world we share.
FIBER CRAFT STUDIO

Explore the fun and practical skills of Fiber Arts! Learn various fiber art techniques through projects like hand sewing forest animals, embroidery, wet felting a bag, kinusaiga, and weaving arts. Additional projects will include things like needle felting and weaving with plastic bags. Kids will develop confidence and experience the joy that comes through creation with each project they bring home to share and enjoy!
PASSPORT TO ART

Passport to Art- Experience the variety the art world has to offer. This class will travel around the world to places like Japan, Pacific Northwest, South America and Europe. We will get to learn about the traditional art from these areas and use the inspiration to make our own creations. Throughout the course, children will explore different mediums, learn techniques, develop creativity and confidence to grow their artistic abilities
JEWELRY MAKING

Creative Jewelry Workshop: Design, Make, and Shine! Unleash your creativity in this hands-on jewelry-making class! Students ages 10–14 will explore a variety of techniques to design and create their own necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and more. Along the way, they’ll learn about color, pattern, and texture while practicing fine motor skills and attention to detail. This class encourages self-expression, patience, and pride in crafting unique, wearable art. Perfect for young makers who love to create, experiment, and take home beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces!
TUMBLING

Flip, roll, and jump into fun! This high-energy class introduces kids to the fundamentals of tumbling, including forward rolls, cartwheels, handstands, bridges, and more. Students will build strength, coordination, flexibility, and confidence in a space that encourages courage, creativity, and skill-building at every turn. Perfect for beginners or those looking to polish their basic skills while having fun with friends!

Dance & Tumbling Fusion: Move, Flip, and Shine! Step into a high-energy, beginner-friendly class where movement meets fun! Students will explore a variety of dance styles—including ballet, jazz, contemporary, and hip-hop—while learning basic techniques, terminology, and choreography. Alongside dance, participants will dive into tumbling fundamentals such as forward rolls, cartwheels, handstands, and bridges. This class emphasizes strength, flexibility, coordination, and rhythm while encouraging creative self-expression, confidence, and courage. All activities take place in a supportive, non-competitive environment that celebrates progress at every level. Shall we Dance? In this beginner-friendly dance course, participants will learn basic dance techniques, terminology, and choreography across multiple styles including ballet, jazz, contemporary, and hip-hop. Classes focus on proper alignment, rhythm development, and spatial awareness in a supportive, non-competitive environment. Students will build strength, flexibility, and coordination while developing creative self-expression and confidence. The course culminates in a casual showcase where dancers can apply their new skills and celebrate their progress.
THEATER ARTS

Amy's theater class will out perform your expectations! Students will dive into the world of theater through developing body awareness (vocal/physical/emotional expression, storytelling, reaction, and improvisation) and will grow in various knowledge areas through exposure to: Stage directions/vocabulary, costuming, choreography, and set, costume and make-up design. The class will culminate in a final performance where students will showcase their hard work. Perfect for budding performers and behind-the-scenes artists who'd like to get get a taste of life in the theater!
LOGICAL FALLACIES 2

A continuation of our tour through Logic by understanding the pitfalls, diversions, and of course fallacies. Don’t let the “2” fool you, this class is great for first time student's, but is there to show previous students that this will be new material. Our classroom tools will be puzzles, games, discussion, and analysis to hone our thinking. Our Winter/Spring rotation will continue one through Circular Reasoning, Equivocation, Loaded Questions, and many more. Students will develop essential critical thinking skills by analyzing advertisements, social media posts, and everyday conversations for faulty logic. By the end of the course, young thinkers will become more confident in constructing sound arguments, recognizing manipulation tactics, and making better-informed decisions—valuable skills that will serve them throughout their academic journey and beyond.
GREAT THINKERS

Step into the minds of history’s greatest thinkers! In this exciting and interactive class, students will explore the lives and ideas of remarkable philosophers, inventors, and visionaries who shaped the world we live in today. Each week, we’ll dive into a different “great thinker” — from Socrates and Plato to Leonardo da Vinci, Marie Curie, Nikola Tesla, and beyond — discovering what made their ideas revolutionary and how their creativity continues to inspire us. Through hands-on activities, experiments, creative projects, and class discussions, students will not only learn about these figures but also think like them — questioning, inventing, and imagining new possibilities. By the end of the course, students will understand how great ideas change the world and how their own ideas can too! This class is not religious in nature and will specifically avoid religious thinkers and topics.
FANTASTICAL TALES (6-9)

Forged & Tempered LLC — Coach Joe Step into the realm of myth, legend, and fantasy as we explore one of the oldest forms of communication—storytelling. From Dreamtime stories to Aesop’s fables, stories have long been used to teach morals, survival skills, and cultural values. This class is designed for younger learners and uses games and cooperative activities to make storytelling come alive. Students will explore: Animal tales and heroic adventures “Why/How” and creation stories (e.g., How the Porcupine Got Its Quills) Silent storytelling through ASL Visual storytelling with cave paintings and comics Narrative structure and what makes a story engaging Activities like “What Time Is It, Mr. Fox?” and hands-on art projects will reinforce lessons through play. This lively, imaginative class is perfect for budding storytellers!
BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU

Designed for both new and returning students, this course builds on fundamental movements and basic skills from previous sessions. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, one of the most popular grappling arts beyond traditional wrestling, combines grappling, ground fighting, and submission techniques into an exciting and dynamic martial art. BJJ emphasizes taking an opponent to the ground, securing dominant positions, and using a variety of techniques to achieve submission. This is a fully physical class, so proper attire is required. While BJJ is traditionally practiced in a “gi” (a specialized kimono-style uniform), our class follows a modern “no gi” approach, allowing students to enjoy the sport without investing in specialized clothing. Class fees include a mouth guard if selected. Please note: We do not offer belt rankings or promotions. If your child develops a passion for BJJ and wants to continue at a traditional gym, we are happy to provide recommendations.
MIGHTY PENS + BOLD INK

The written word has shaped history—stories matter! In this class, students will explore narrative structure, literary devices, descriptive writing, types of conflict, and more. We’ll use engaging methods like reading excerpts, examining historical examples, mapping stories with plot charts, and of course, writing our own work. Hands-on activities and games will support the lessons—like building marshmallow-and-spaghetti “stories” to illustrate structure, or using story-building decks to spark creativity. This class welcomes all levels. If writing is a challenge, students can share their ideas through oral storytelling. The goal is to inspire a love of story-making and help students craft strong narratives in a fun, low-pressure environment.
SPEED + STRENGTH

This class combines a Health class and a Fitness class to help students learn about how their bodies work while pushing themselves physically. The first part of this class will be a lesson on how different systems in your body work, nutrition, injury prevention, and kinesiology. Your child will learn the importance of what fuel you put in your body and the value of exercise to promote lifelong fitness. Healthy choices, breathing exercises, and mental resilience are all just a sample of what we will cover. The second half of the class we will be getting our heart rates up and making our muscles strong through a combination of sports and fitness activities. Some classes will be conducted outdoors when the weather no longer calls for boots and gloves, but most classes will be done indoors for the winter months. The indoor sessions will push kids with more advanced exercises, HIIT, circuit training, and body weight exercises. Very little equipment will be used indoors as the class will be designed for kids to do the workouts anywhere. Outdoor classes will challenge students to play new games, classic activities, and dynamic movement to raise their heart rates. This session will cover new material not included the current Speed and Strength class, but will also review portions as well. This class is very open to new students and previous enrollees.
LOGIC, GAMES + PUZZLES

Prepare to use your mind! This class helps students build strong problem-solving and reasoning skills through engaging logic puzzles, riddles, and strategy games. Students will practice thinking critically, making connections, and explaining their reasoning while working both independently and in teams. The activities encourage curiosity, creativity, and confidence in tackling new challenges. Each week, students will explore a new type of puzzle or game—such as riddles, pattern challenges, brainteasers, mystery logic grids, and team strategy games. They’ll compete in friendly logic tournaments, solve clues together, and even design their own puzzles for classmates to try. By the end of the course, students will have stronger reasoning skills and a newfound love for thinking outside the box!
LIFE SKILLS + LEADERSHIP
Mr.Reed

Prepare for a fun and interesting trip to becoming a leader! Students will learn ways to be an effective leader and how to support the leaders in their life. Our class will focus collaboration, teamwork, and communication to bring out the best in their teams and of course, themselves. Each student will be called on to look within themselves to find ways to bring the strengths they have while fostering growth in their peers. Sympathy and Empathy will help students build fantastic teams, solve problems, and play games. The challenges will include things like, creating advertisement for a product, prepare a small speech, coach a team, build a "how-to" plan, design an activity/game and explain the rules, and so much more. Kids will be having so much fun that they won't realize that they are developing important life skills and growing as leaders! Forged and Tempered classes are always interactive and largely favor outdoor activities. While much of this class will be indoor, students should be prepared for outdoor weather during all seasons.
PE WINTER SAMPLER
Coach Reed+ Coach Joe

Hale and hardy winter explorers welcome! Coach Joe and Coach Reed are back with an outdoors-focused, winter-themed P.E. class designed to keep kids active and having fun in the fresh air. This year, two age groups will meet during the same hour, each with their own coach. At times, groups will work separately on age-appropriate skills and games; other times, they’ll come together for cooperative or competitive activities. Planned activities include: Quinzee (snow shelter) building — a favorite! “Sled Dog” relays with plastic sleds Pioneers vs. Wolves survival game Trap-making demonstrations (no animals involved) Winter navigation, tracking, and weather observation skills When weather is too severe, we’ll move activities indoors. Important: This is a winter outdoor class, so proper cold-weather gear is required—insulated jacket, snow pants, boots, gloves/mittens, and a warm hat. Face coverings (balaclava, mask, or scarf) and base layers are highly recommended to keep warm in windy conditions.
